Back To Work

Tomorrow afternoon I start my new job. I'm a little overwhelmed, and I haven't even started! I'm going to try and keep blogging so please don't abandon me! I may miss a day here and there. It may be harder at first while I'm trying to learn my new duties and get back into the swing of going to work. What do I think will be the biggest adjustment for me? Getting up around 4 AM!

And We're Back

By that I mean that I just found out I will no longer be a member of the ranks of unemployed as of next week. So...when you see those jobless numbers take a BIG dip next Friday you'll know why. :-) No more stress of waking up at 7 AM and wondering what to do that day, what to wear, what to fix for dinner. Do I take my shower before noon or after? Make the coffee before my morning walk or when I get back?

Yep, nothing to complain about EVER again.

My New Gig

I'm going to be volunteering in the office of one of the baseball stadiums during Spring Training. The pay sucks (there is none), but it's baseball. I'll have a reason to get out of the house and who knows? Maybe it will lead to a real job somewhere.

The Lost Year

Well, it’s been about a year since I lost my job – or at least since I realized that my job was not going to last much longer. I never dreamed then that a year would pass without me being able to find work. It used to be that jobs just fell in my lap even when I was hoping for a little time off in between them. My job was always a large part of who I was. Coming home at the end of the day knowing I had accomplished something and done it well always gave me a great sense of satisfaction and made me feel like I had a set of skills that were valued. It’s been kind of a tough year in that respect, and I have to admit that I’m still struggling to replace that sense of accomplishment and self-worth and figure out where I go from here.

I Found My Dream Job

It's only temporary, but the pay is good and it looks like there's a lot of time off included.
