It's Still The Weekend!

Things You Should Know About Me:

  • I am NOT a morning person. In fact, among family and friends I am notorious for it, and it's joked about often.
  • I haven't worked in over a year and haven't worked outside the home in over 3 years.

Things You Should Know About My New Job:
  • I start at 7 AM. The round trip commute is two hours. That means I have to get up at 4:30 AM.
  • The days are 10 hour days; the weekly hours anywhere between 40 and 50.

These are the two things I have struggled with the most this first week. It's not a permanent job, and the money is good so I am trying really hard to pull this together. So far on work days I have been able to do nothing much but work, come home and try to stay awake until bed time which is between 9 and 9:30.

This is how I feel at the end of a workday.

I am so enjoying this first weekend of doing the things I love to do like sleeping until after the sun comes up, blogging, catching up on my favorite blogs and sitting around in the morning drinking coffee and waking up slowly.

I hope you're having a blessed Sunday!

PERFECT

Rain Showers + (Mom's Potato Soup + Eating it at the same table with her) = A PERFECT EVENING

Sarcasm As A Weapon (aka Paybacks Are A...)

To Angie: GOTCHA! Haha!

Email received from G'ma today, Friday, June 26th:

Don't you dare quit blogging! that's the high spot of my day MOM XOXO

Translated, this means: "Tracy, you are the light of my life".

G'ma likes me best!

My Blog Is Too Boring

So I have been told. More boring than NOTHING.

So I guess it's time to stop blogging!

Bye Bye!

Some Wise Words I Read

"I used to have this great therapist. She asked me to name the core beliefs, principles, feelings that I was totally, without a doubt, completely committed to, that meant the most to me, that I was certain of. As sessions went on, she would, fairly frequently, point out when my words, thoughts or actions seemed to be at odds with my commitment to those things. Indeed, some of these things, it turned out, I routinely equivocated about, betrayed, doubted. My point, and I do have one, should be fairly obvious: sooner or later, it doesn't really matter what you say, it's what you do, how you are in the world, that shows your true commitment.

And the truth will always come out. It will be especially obvious to those who have a stake in what you say you care about."

Never Leave A Burning Candle Unattended

You know all those warnings on the labels of stuff that you never read because only an idiot wouldn't have enough common sense to know that you should "Never Leave Food Cooking On The Stove Even Just For A Second So You Can Quickly Check Your Email"?

Well, they really mean that. Oops, gotta go.
